Dr. Kelly Skovira is certified nurse practitioner in women’s health care and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She received a Bachelors of Science degree in nursing from Pennsylvania State University. While working at Latrobe Family Clinic, she continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating Sigma Theta Tau with a Masters of Science in nursing. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Waynesburg University.
Kelly began her career as a diploma nurse working on an OB/Gyn unit in 1984. Over the past 24 years, she has been involved in every aspect of women’s health including: labor and delivery, postpartum, family planning, and now menopausal care. Health education has always been one of her top priorities. She has coordinated prenatal education classes, "Becoming a Woman" classes and family planning education classes. Kelly has been certified as a Lamaze Instructor, CPR Instructor and Asthma Educator.
